Weird week

I'll attempt not to bore anybody.

Having the 4th of July holiday in the middle of the week sort of screwed with my head. Keeping today is Monday, when tomorrow is Friday. We went to Houston and had a nice day with the Courvilles and Turners. Made some kabobs of different varieties. They all seemed to come out tasty.

I haven't been exercising enough.

I sort of have to kick things into high gear on the school front. I really want to go to the autocross on Sunday. We'll see how much work I can get done before then.

I am not a person who seeks out confrontation with strangers... I try to avoid it actually. Like, the other night somebody was parked in our spot. I could have put a note on their car, but I didn't. They eventually left; it was no big deal. Tonight there was a note on my truck because I had parked on the line accidentally. I admit, I was too close. I have been keeping the truck a little further to the right so that I can open the door as the new poles for the carport are badly placed. So I guess since I finally touched the line the guy left a note. It was a nice enough note, but I don't know... I just never actually do such things. Man, I'm so ready to get out of the condo. I am absolutely sick and tired of having other people all up in our area. I want a home. I don't need a big home, I just want four walls, a floor, and a ceiling that don't touch anybody else. Nobody to tell me anything about my cat, and nobody who I have to park next to. I am tired of it.

SXSW

It was pretty impressive. I saw more bands in those 4 days than I have in the last four years. It was tiring... totally blew my early morning schedule. I'm trying to get myself back to that today. The net effect is that I just feel perpetually tired and unfocused. Hopefully tomorrow will be better after a full night's rest. I also need to get on my bike.

I really should write a more detailed review of all the bands we saw. The thought of it kind of scares me. ;)

This coming weekend is the trip to Wichita Falls for the MSU race weekend. I'm excited about it.

Work continues on my paper that is due on April 1.

I guess I should try to get back to work.
